We prepare and bake our own bisquits and crusts the old fashion way, flour, butter, cream, milk. Adding fresh fruits in season with real whipped cream
make the difference. Real farm fresh products.
Seasonal fruits along with some california dried fruits will make great chutneys and toppings.
The classic short cake recipe, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cold butter cut in, cream ... does not get any better that that.
Leave out the baking powder, and you have a great pie dough, but make sure not to overwork or allow to get warm, else your flakey layers will not develope.
